john k samson von den weakerthans (ex-propagandhi) spielt einen der "hits" von propagandhis album "less talk, more rock", einem der besten alben, die das genre melodic-hc je hervor gebracht hat (zusammen mit good riddance "a comprehensive guide to rebellion moderne" und "rev" von ten foot pole, meine meinung).
der song nennt sich gifts und hat einen tollen text.
die beste textzeile ever ist auch von besagtem propagandhi album und geht so: "why don't we plant a mechanic virus to erase the memory of the machines that sustain this capitalist dynasty? and yes i recognize the irony, the system i oppose affords me the luxury of biting the hand that feeds, that's exactly why privileged punks like me should feel obliged to whine and kick and scream until everyone has everything they need"
